Josh Strickland launched DurandNow.com in 2012. Since that time, Durand Now LLC has grown into a network of local news websites, podcasts and a direct-to-inbox newspaper, reaching thousands of people throughout Shiawassee County and beyond, each week.

In 2020, Durand Now LLC became a full-time local news operation. Durand hasn't had its own full-time news identity since The Durand Express shut down in 2003, after 115 years serving the community.
